ABOUT THE EVENT

Curator’s Tour: Mnemosyne – Memory as a Voice for Nature

About

Join the Director from Goucher College Art Galleries for a guided tour of Mnemosyne – Memory as a Voice for Nature, the 2025–26 exhibition cycle of the artist collective - Mnemosyne - examining memory as a generative force in contemporary artistic practice.

This tour offers insight into the conceptual framework of Mnemosyne and highlights how participating artists engage themes of land use, environmental justice, material histories, and ecological systems. Through close looking and discussion, the tour invites participants to consider how memory—personal, collective, and environmental—shapes relationships to place, infrastructure, and the natural world.

Designed for students, faculty, and the general public, the curator’s tour provides an accessible entry point into the exhibition while encouraging dialogue and questions throughout.
