WHERE ART, EDUCATION, AND COMMUNITY CONVERGE
The Goucher Galleries and Goucher Museum Collection are vibrant cultural resources dedicated to fostering creativity, critical inquiry, and connection across the Goucher College campus and beyond. Together, they serve as a living laboratory for students, faculty, artists, and the public to engage with contemporary art, historic objects, and interdisciplinary ideas.
Our Galleries
Our rotating exhibitions span three unique campus spaces:
-
Silber Gallery – A flagship space for curated exhibitions by professional artists and scholars.
-
Rosenberg Gallery – A flexible venue for interdisciplinary projects and emerging voices.
-
The Bond Window – A public-facing space activating conversation through experimental installations.
Each gallery presents 3–4 curated exhibitions per year, often accompanied by lectures, performances, class visits, and artist talks. We prioritize collaboration across departments and showcase diverse voices working in a wide range of media and themes.

About the Goucher Museum Collection
Formerly known as the Art & Artifact Collection, the Goucher Museum Collection encompasses over 3,000 objects—ranging from fine art to cultural artifacts and decorative arts. These works reflect the college’s rich history and global perspective, and are actively used for teaching, research, and exhibition.
The collection is housed across secure storage and campus buildings, and is stewarded by the Director of Exhibitions and Curator and an appointed committee. We are committed to preserving and sharing these works through digitization, loan programs, and partnerships with students, scholars, and peer institutions.
A TEACHING MUSEUM
We are proud to serve as a dynamic learning environment. Students can:
-
Take part in every stage of the exhibition process—from installation to promotion
-
Contribute to cataloging, digitization, and curatorial research
-
Explore careers in museums, galleries, and collections management
Community & Access
The Goucher Art Galleries are free and open to the public. We actively welcome visitors from the local Towson and Baltimore communities, including our neighbors at Edenwald Senior Living, nearby schools, and community arts organizations.
We believe in making art accessible, inclusive, and engaging—and strive to be a space where all can learn, reflect, and connect.
