Curator’s Tour: "Michael Iampieri: Line Into Form"

Moving through the exhibition together, the tour will consider how Iampieri transforms the simplest of visual elements—the line—into forms that seem to emerge, shift, and take shape through sustained attention. From the precision of his drawings to the extension of his linear practice into painting, the conversation will explore repetition, gesture, material, and the ways our own perception participates in completing what we see.

Rather than offering a single way to interpret the work, the tour invites visitors to slow down, look closely, and consider a central question within Iampieri’s practice: At what point does a line become a form?

The tour will also offer insight into the development of Line Into Form, the curatorial ideas shaping the exhibition, and Iampieri’s decades-long commitment to drawing as a process of searching and discovery.
